How Much Does a Truck Cap Cost? Aluminum Cap Prices by Truck

How much does a truck cap cost? For our aluminum caps, prices start at $2,399 for the Ford Maverick and $2,499 for the Toyota Tacoma. They move up with the truck, the bed length and the series you pick.

Truck cap, camper shell, topper and canopy are four names for the same thing, a hard shell that closes your truck bed. So if you searched for camper shell cost, you are in the right place.

We sell aluminum truck caps from our warehouse in Hallandale Beach, Florida, between Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Here is what a cap costs by truck, what changes the price, what installation adds, and how the deposit works.

Truck cap prices by truck

These are the starting prices on our pages right now, and they include our current discount. Prices and discounts change, so for your exact truck, year and bed length, use Shop by Vehicle.

The Toyota Tacoma starts from $2,499. The longer 6.0 ft bed lists higher, from $2,649.

The Ford F-150 starts from $2,649. The 6.5 ft bed lists from $2,799.

The Ford Maverick starts from $2,399. The Ranger, Colorado, Canyon and Frontier start from $2,499. The Gladiator starts from $2,599. The Tundra, Silverado 1500, Sierra 1500 and Ram 1500 start from $2,649.

What goes into the price

Four things move the number.

Your truck and bed length. A cap is fitted to a specific truck and bed, so a Tacoma with a 5.0 ft bed and one with a 6.0 ft bed are priced differently.

The series. The Forge Series is the rugged, utility build with solid lift-up side doors and MOLLE panels. The Panoramic Series swaps those for tinted glass on the sides and rear, and starts at $2,599. Not sure which one fits how you use the truck? Our series comparison page puts them side by side.

Glass options. The Panoramic lists glass choices in the builder, so you see the price change before you commit.

Accessories. These are priced separately and run from $30 for a MOLLE panel or a lock cover set up to $190 for a roof loading platform or a full storage box. Crossbars are $140 for low profile and $170 for high profile.

Every cap has a 2 mm anodized aluminum body with reinforced bolt-together panels, perimeter weather seals and secure locks. The warranty is 3 years on the shell and structure and 1 year on accessories. Details are on our warranty page.

Truck cap installation cost

Installation at our Hallandale Beach warehouse starts from $80 and takes about an hour. The exact price depends on the truck and bed length.

On the model pages, that works out to $80-$100 for a Tacoma, $110-$140 for an F-150 and $80 for a Maverick.

The cap mounts with clamps to the bed rails. Nothing is drilled, nothing pierces the bed or the paint, and the cap can come off later.

If you would rather do it yourself, warehouse pickup is free, by appointment. Local delivery is $2 per mile one-way from Hallandale Beach, calculated by your ZIP.

Deposit, balance and lead time

A $99 deposit holds the product, or a spot in the next production batch, and it goes toward your order. The final balance is paid later, before installation. The reservation expires after 60 days.

Lead time is typically 2-8 weeks, depending on stock and the production batch. Availability for each build is shown next to it, so you know before you reserve.

Where to see the current price

Any price in an article is a snapshot. Our pricing and discounts change, and we do not promise that any discount will last.

The live number is in the configurator. Pick your make, year and bed length and it shows the price and availability for your exact truck. If your truck is not listed, we support more configurations and you can ask for a custom fitment there.
