Most truck bed storage ideas look great in photos and fall apart in a season. Under a cap, in real weather and real use, here is what actually lasts and keeps the bed usable.
Organize the walls, not just the floor

Floor bins slide around and eat your space. MOLLE panels on the interior walls let you mount tools, straps and small gear up off the floor, where they stay put and stay reachable. The bed floor stays clear for the big stuff.
Light you do not have to hold
A dark bed at night is a hand-full-of-phone problem. Interior lights turn the covered bed into a space you can actually work in after dark. It is a small addition that changes how often you use the cap.
Roof space earns its keep
A roof rack or platform moves the bulky, awkward, weatherproof items up top and frees the sealed bed for everything that needs to stay dry. Used together, the roof and the bed roughly double what one truck can carry cleanly.
Buy for the weather you have
In Florida that means salt and sun. Hardware that is not built for it corrodes and seizes within a season. Pick mounts and accessories rated for coastal weather, or plan to replace them and be annoyed.
The organizers, racks, MOLLE panels and lights we build to match our caps are on the accessories page.
